Submarket of the logistics region Erfurt/Thuringia

Erfurter Kreuz

The Erfurter Kreuz industrial area near Arnstadt, covering more than 400 hectares, is one of Thuringia's largest industrial locations. Engine maintenance, battery and automotive industries and logistics have settled here, including CATL's first European battery plant.

Location and access

The area lies around 20 kilometres south of Erfurt, directly at the interchange of the A4 (east–west) and A71 (north–south), with a rail connection on site. Saxony, Hesse, Bavaria and Lower Saxony are within quick reach.

Space profile

The first construction phases are largely allocated, and further phases are in preparation. Plots are large and suit production, large warehouses and build-to-suit schemes. The Erfurt freight village and north Erfurt add logistics and light industrial buildings.

What occupiers should consider

For large industrial projects, grid connection, water and permitting time are central. Land is allocated through public bodies; we clarify availability case by case. Combining production and logistics, occupiers find a rare mix of large plots and a central location here.
