Submarket of the logistics region Nuremberg

Nuremberg port / Feucht

Nuremberg is northern Bavaria's most important logistics hub. The freight village at bayernhafen links the Main-Danube Canal, rail and motorway, while Feucht and Altdorf south-east of the city sit directly on the trunk routes towards Munich, Prague and Frankfurt.

Location and access

The port lies in south-west Nuremberg on the Main-Danube Canal and the A73. Feucht and Altdorf lie to the south-east on the A9, A6 and A3, close to the Nuremberg and Nuremberg-East interchanges. Munich, Frankfurt, Würzburg, Regensburg and the Czech Republic are within easy reach.

Space profile

The freight village offers handling, storage and distribution space with rail and water access, complemented by new logistics parks on former industrial sites. In the south-east, large distribution centres and suppliers dominate.

What occupiers should consider

Space within the city is scarce. Port land is often granted on ground leases. For larger requirements, include the A9 corridor to the south and the A6 to the east.
