Submarket of the logistics region Kassel/North Hesse
Bad Hersfeld
Bad Hersfeld lies at the geographical centre of Germany, where the A4, A5 and A7 converge. Few locations reach as many people within a single truck day, which makes the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district one of the most important locations for national distribution.
Location and access
Via the Kirchheim interchange (A4/A7) and the Hattenbach interchange (A5/A7), north-south and east-west traffic can be reached in all directions. The Bebra rail junction is nearby. For national distribution centres the location is hard to beat.
Space profile
The location is shaped by large central and fulfilment warehouses, including some of Germany's oldest e-commerce fulfilment centres. Alongside large new buildings there is older stock suitable for redevelopment or interim use.
What occupiers should consider
Competition for staff is high in such a dense logistics location. Anyone planning large space should consider the labour catchment, shift models and public transport early. For older buildings, sprinklers, floors and energy efficiency deserve a close look.
