Agency fee

The agent's remuneration for introducing or brokering a contract.

For commercial property, the fee is freely negotiable. Under Section 652 of the German Civil Code, it only becomes payable when a contract is concluded as a result of the agent's work. For lettings it is often calculated in months of rent, for sales as a percentage of the purchase price. In logistics leasing, the owner usually pays the fee.
