Sandwich panel

A facade or roof element of two metal skins with an insulating core.

In many logistics buildings, sandwich panels form the envelope above a concrete plinth. The core is usually polyurethane or mineral wool. Mineral wool is non-combustible and preferred by insurers, while PU cores insulate better at the same thickness.
